The Risks and Healing Support for Village Health Volunteers during Epidemic Situation, COVID-19

This article aims to point out the risks and healing support received by the VHV due to the COVID-19 outbreak. As a result, the VHV’s duties are at risk of contracting COVID-19 and tend to increase continuously. In addition to self-protection measures during the performance of duties, which consisted of self-protection by keeping distance, when VHV becomes an infected patient, the care will be no different from other patients. But there will be additional healing support as a medical worker. However the support for the VHV still has a delay than the situation when compared to other groups of medical worker. Despite the situation of the Covid-19 outbreak will have a downward trend, the roles, duties and risks of VHVs still remain the same. Therefore, to provide various actions to support the VHVs in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak or any other epidemic that will follow; there should be a clear, concrete, and concrete support, healing support, and compensation regulations that can be applied to severe disease outbreak situations. In addition to COVID-19 that may occur again in the future and including support in the field of knowledge development of the potential to perform duties.
