Psychometric Properties of Resilience Scale Concerned with Social Desirability Responses for The Army Nurse Students

This research uses research and development methodologies. The aims of this research are to examine psychometric properties of resilience scale concerned with social desirability responses for the army nurse students. The samples consist of 300 army nurse students. The instruments were resilience scale and social desirability scale. The analysis used descriptive statistic and inferential statistic.
The result showed that: 1) Resilience scale has 58 items 1.1) The discrimination index is between 0.31-0.66. 1.2) The Index of Item-objective congruence (IOC) is between 0.60 to 1.00 1.3) The second order confirmatory factor analysis found that the measurement model has a goodness of fit (χ2 = 95.32 df = 86 p = 0.23 CFI = 1.00 NFI = 0.92 RMR = 0.04 RMSEA = 0.000) 1.4) The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient is 0.95 2) Social desirability scale has 10 items 2.1) The discrimination index is between 0.20-0.46 2.2) The Index of Item-objective congruence (IOC) is between 0.60 to 1.00 2.3) The second order confirmatory factor analysis found that the measurement model has a goodness of fit (χ2 = 41.21 df = 29 p = 0.06 CFI = 0.98 NFI = 0.95 RMR = 0.02 RMSEA = 0.03) 2.4) The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient is 0.57.
