Health Literacy and Dengue Control and Prevention Behaviors of People in Min Buri District Bangkok

Abstract

The purposes of this survey research was to study of relationship between Health Literacy and Dengue Control and Prevention Behaviors of People in Min Buri District Bangkok. The sample were 410 people selected by random sampling. Questionairs was used as research instrument in this study developed by researcher. Data analysis was made for frequency, percentage, mean, maximum-minimum, standard deviation, Chi-square test, and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.

The results showed that the behaviors sample were at the moderate level. The correlation analysis showed that the personal factors in the area of age and occupation and salary had relationship with the Control and Prevention Behaviors of People in Min Buri District Bangkok statistical significant at the level .05. The study results showed that health literacy include access to health information and health services for the control and prevention of dengue fever, knowledge of Control and Prevention Behaviors communication for Control and Prevention Behaviors, safe self managed dengue fever, decisions about Control and Prevention Behaviors media literacy for Control and Prevention Behaviors had relationship with the Control and Prevention Behaviors of People in Min Buri District Bangkok statistical significant at the level .05.
