Abstract

At present, the concept of servant leadership is one of the most attention-grabbing concepts from the academic leaders of the 21st century. Servant Leadership is a leadership theory that focuses on cooperation, trustworthiness, compassion and the use of moral authority. Servant Leadership is the heart of the Christian faith. “JESUS CHRIST” is the first to propose the concept of Servant Leadership. The source of Servant Leadership can be discovered or studied in the Holy Bible. For example, Jesus Christ had told the disciples in Matthew 20: 26-28 that “But it shall not be so among you but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister. And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.” mentions that “Servant leadership must be those who had self-conscious, self-esteem, love the freedom, and 2 Consists of 10 principles were as follows 1) Listening 2) Empathy 3) Healing 4) Awareness 5) Persuasion 6) Conceptualization 7) Foresight 8) Stewardship 9) Commitment to the growth of people, and 10) Building community. It is seen that a servant leader is a spiritual service provider before, decide consciously to serve others even better. The goal of leading for development the growth of people in the organization, and increase the participation of members and teamwork.
