Factors Relating to Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) Preventive Behaviors of People at Bang Krachao Mueang District in Samut Sakhon Province

The purpose of this survey research was to study factors relating to dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) preventive behaviors of people at Bang Krachao Mueang District in Samut Sakhon Province. The sample were 380 people. Questionnaire was used as a research instrument in this study. Data analysis was made to descriptive statistics Pearson’s product Moment Correlation Coefficient and chai-square test.
The results showed that the behaviors sample were at the moderate level. The correlation analysis showed that the bio-social factors in the area of age was found significantly related to dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) preventive behaviors of the subjects at the .05 level. For internal factors concerning knowledge, Attitude, perceived susceptibility, perceived severity and perceived benefit were also found significantly related to dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) preventive behaviors of the subjects at the .05 level. In addition, external factors about receiving recommendations from family members, health professional and receiving information were found significant related to dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) preventive behaviors of the subjects at the .05 level.
