Confirmatory Factor Analysis of Active Ageing in Health of Elderly

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to analyze the confirmatory factors analysis of Active Ageing in Health of Elderly from Nonthaburi Province Thailand. The samples consisted of 500 elderly living in municipalities Nonthaburi Province selected by multi-stage sampling. The instrument was the questionnaire to assess of Active Ageing in Health of Elderly established by researcher. The overall reliability by Cronbach’s coefficient alpha was 0.87. Data were analyzed by the second order confirmatory factor analysis.

The results showed that there were 4 elements include psychological well-being, physical activity, activities of daily living, and self-assessed health status weight of component equal to .77, .71, .53 and .07 respectively. Model for measuring Active Ageing in Health of Elderly consistent with empirical data from the chi-square values that are not statistically significant.
