บทคัดย่อ: ภาวะ bypereosinophiic syndrome เป็นภาวะที่ตรวจพบว่ามี eosinophil ในเลือดมากกว่า 1,500/มม3 เป็นระยะเวลานานกว่า 6 เดือนร่วมกับการมีการทำงานของอวัยะวะต่างๆ บกพร่องอันเนื่องมาจากการที่มี eosinophil สูง โดยที่ไม่สามารถหาโรดหรือกาวะที่เป็นสาเหตุของการเกิด eosinophia ผู้เขียนได้รายงานผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการวินิจฉัยว่าเป็น hypereosinophilc syndrome ที่มาโรงพยาบาลด้วยอาการผิดปกติทางระบบประสาทที่เกิดมาจาก cerebellar infarction และตรวจพบว่ามี endomyocardial fibrosis โดยที่มี eosinophi! สูงประมาณ 30,000/มม. ผู้ป่วยตอบสนองดีต่อการรักษาด้วยคอร์ตี้โคสเตอรอยด์
