ความต้องการการศึกษาต่อเนื่องของพยาบาลวิชาชีพในเขตกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงบรรยาย (Descriptive Research) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการการศึกษาต่อระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาและการฝึกอบรมระยะสั้นของพยาบาลวิชาชีพที่ปฏิบัติงานในศูนย์บริการสาธารณสุขและโรงพยาบาลที่สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร กระทรวงสาธารณสุขและโรงพยาบาลเอกชนในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร และปริมณฑล ในปีพ.ศ. 2550 จำนวน 398 คนโดยวิธีสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบหลายชั้น (multi-stage sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นแบบสอบถามเกี่ยวกับ ข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล ความต้องการศึกษาต่อระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา และความต้องการการฝึกอบรมระยะสั้น ข้อมูลที่ได้นำมาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่และร้อยละ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. พยาบาลวิชาชีพสนใจศึกษาต่อในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา โดยรวมพบว่า พยาบาลวิชาชีพมีความต้องการในการเรียนแผนการศึกษา ข (เน้นการปฏิบัติ) เป็นส่วนใหญ่และต้องการศึกษาในสาขาการพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุมากที่สุดคิดเป็นร้อยละ 74.4 และต้องการในการเรียนแผนการศึกษา แผน ก (เน้นการวิจัย) ได้แก่ สาขาวิจัยและพัฒนาระบบสุขภาพ ร้อยละ72.5 ช่วงเวลาที่ต้องการเรียนมากที่สุด ได้แก่ นอกเวลาราชการ (เสาร์-อาทิตย์) ร้อยละ 54.3

2. ความต้องการการฝึกอบรมระยะสั้น 4 เดือน สาขาที่สนใจศึกษา ได้แก่ สาขาวิชาการบริหารการพยาบาลร้อยละ 35.4 ช่วงเวลาที่ต้องการเรียน นอกเวลาราชการ (เสาร์-อาทิตย์ ) ร้อยละ 48.2

3. ความต้องการการฝึกอบรมระยะสั้นต่ำกว่า 1 เดือน สาขาที่สนใจศึกษา ได้แก่ ภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับการติดต่อสื่อสาร ร้อยละ 53.5 รองลงมา คือ การใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ในงานพยาบาล ร้อยละ 41.7 ช่วงเวลาที่ต้องการเรียนมากที่สุดได้แก่ นอกเวลาราชการ (เสาร์-อาทิตย์ ) ร้อยละ 45.2

ผลการศึกษาในครั้งนี้ควรนำไปเป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานที่เป็นประโยชน์สำหรับผู้บริหารการศึกษา ผู้วิจัย และหน่วยงานต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการจัดการศึกษา สามารถนำไปใช้ในการวางแผนการจัดการเรียนการสอนทั้งในหลักสูตรปริญญาโทและการฝึกอบรมระยะสั้น

Abstract

This descriptive study was conducted toidentify the needs for continued education ingraduated level and a short course training of theregistered nurses in Bangkok Metropolitan Region,Thailand. The sample of 398 registered nursesworking in public and private hospitals in BangkokMetropolitan Region were obtained by multi-stagesampling. A self-administered questionnairedeveloped by the researchers comprising 3 parts:personal demographic data, needs for graduatelevel study, and needs for short course training.The data were analyzed using descriptivestatistics. The results were summarized asfollowing:

1. Regarding the needs for graduatedstudies, the majority of the sample wanted tostudy in a practical based program for GeriatricNursing (74.4 %), as well as wanted to attend aresearch- based program in Research and HealthSystem Development (72.5 %). A large proportionof the sample (54.3%) expressed that theypreferred to attend a part time program running onweekends.

2. For the needs for short course trainingprogram (4-month program), a large number of thesample indicated that they wanted to attend thenursing administration program (35.4%) arrangedduring the weekend (48.2%).

3. According to the needs for shortcourse training program (less than one monthlong), a majority of them wanted to attend thecourses of English for communication, (53.5%) andcomputer used in nursing course (41.7%). A largenumber of them wanted to study during weekend(45.2%).

The results of this study provide usefulbasic knowledge for nursing educators or nursingadministrators to arrange the continued educationprograms to meet the need of nurses in Bangkokmetropolitan.
