บทคัดย่อ

บทคัดย่อการวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทราบความต้องการสารสนเทศของบุคลากรศูนย์การแพทย์กาญจนาภิเษกมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และนำมาเป็นแนวทางในการจัดทำหลักสูตรการสืบค้นสารสนเทศที่เหมาะแก่บุคลากรต่อไป เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ (Survey Research) แบบภาคตัดขวาง (Cross- Sectional Survey) ใช้แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็น(Openionnaire) เป็นเครื่องมือในการทำวิจัย ประชากรในการศึกษาคือ บุคลากรที่ปฏิบัติงานในสังกัด ศูนย์การแพทย์กาญจนาภิเษก มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล จำนวน 405 คน โดยมีผู้ส่งแบบสอบถามคืนมา จำนวน 344 คน คิดเป็น 84.93%ผลการวิจัยพบว่า บุคลากรมีความต้องการและการใช้สารสนเทศจากห้องสมุดศูนย์การแพทย์ในระดับมาก ( = 3.61และ 3.06 ตามลำดับ) ประเภทของสารสนเทศที่มีความต้องการใช้มากที่สุดคือ สารสนเทศจากสื่ออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ อันได้แก่อินทราเน็ต ( = 4.09) โดยฐานข้อมูลวิจัยจะมีระดับการใช้สูงสุด ( = 2.63) ซึ่งในปัจจุบัน ประเภทของทรัพยากรสารสนเทศที่บุคลากรสามารถใช้ในการแสวงหาได้จริง จะเป็นจากหนังสือมากที่สุด รองลงมาคืออินทราเน็ต ปัญหาที่พบในการสืบค้นคือ บุคลากรมีข้อจำกัดด้านการใช้สารสนเทศภาษาต่างประเทศ และมีข้อจำกัดด้านเวลาในการเข้าถึงแหล่งสารสนเทศอีกทั้งยังมีข้อจำกัดด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้สารสนเทศของบุคลากรในหน่วยงานอีกด้วยงานวิจัยชิ้นนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่า สารสนเทศในองค์กรมีเพียงพอ และตรงตามความต้องการของผู้รับสารสนเทศส่วนใหญ่ แต่มีปัญหาในช่องทางการรับข้อมูลสารสนเทศ เนื่องจากบุคลากรยังไม่สามารถเข้าถึงสารสนเทศได้เท่าที่ตนเองต้องการ เพราะมีการสื่อสารแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลระหว่างกันน้อย การใช้เครื่องมือในการสืบค้นสารสนเทศที่จัดเตรียมไว้ให้ก็ยังใช้ไม่เต็มศักยภาพ เนื่องจากขาดทักษะด้านภาษาต่างประเทศ ทำให้บุคลากรไม่สามารถเข้าถึงข้อมูลได้ หากจะให้บุคลากรสามารถเข้าถึงสารสนเทศที่ต้องการได้ ต้องมีกิจกรรมที่ทำให้มีการสื่อสารระหว่างกันมากขึ้น และจัดหลักสูตรพัฒนาทักษะภาษาต่างประเทศไปพร้อมๆ กับวิธีการสืบค้นข้อมูลจากฐานข้อมูลทางวิชาการต่างๆ

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the information requirement of the personnel working forGolden Jubilee Medical Center, Mahidol University. Outcomes could be applied to create a curriculumcalled “Information Search which was suitable for Golden Jubilee Medical Center, Mahidol University”.The research method was Cross-Sectional Survey research. The research tool was an opinionnaire. Thepopulation were 405 personnel. There were 344 people completed the opinionnaire which was accountedfor 84.93%.

The results showed that personnel needed and used information from the Golden Jubilee MedicalCenter’s library in a high level ( = 3.61 and 3.06). Type of information most needed was the Informationfrom electronic media ( = 4.09), namely, intranet. Even though not for journal and academic articles, they  searched the information for problem solving of theirroutine work. In terms of research database, it wasused at high level ( = 2.63). The primary objectivesof information usage were to exchange, increase anddevelop their capability and development skills. Thesecondary objectives were to search for innovativeinformation used for their works and to searchfor problem solving related to their works. Therewere three barriers in information search, namely,international language barrier, time barrier andinternal information exchange barrier amongpersonnel in organization.From the study, it could be summaried thatinformation in the organization was adequate and metrequirements of the majority of information receivers.However, there were problems in the channel ofinformation receiving because people could notaccess information as much as they required becauseof their less communication among them. It was alsobecause of the usage tools provided for informationsearch not fully utilized due to the lack of foreignlanguage skills. In order to support the people toaccess information as they required, there should bemore activities that support their intra-communicationand the curriculum on foreign language andsearching skills from various academic databaseshould be more provided.
