Abstract

The prospective study of the System Development of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Service at Queen Sirikit Heart Center, Khon Kaen University were performed. The data was gathered by questionnaires, they were sent to professional healthcare team such as physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and medical technician who had involving in therapeutic drug monitoring service. Then therapeutic drug monitoring tools were setted and evaluated. The satisfaction of professional healthcare team by questionnaires were measured. There were found that the major problem was the unknown process and slow service system. After therapeutic drug monitoring tools were manipulated for development the therapeutic drug monitoring system; standard flow chart of therapeutic drug monitoring process, recommendation form, request form, schedule of the sampling time.  The satisfaction were measured and found that most of professional healthcare team satisfied to rapid and clear in therapeutic drug monitoring process, the sample could be correctly sent, the document form was easy to use, and had very well communication in the team. In conclusion, the System of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Service at Queen Sirikit Heart Center of The Northeast, Khon Kaen University was successfully developed. However, the formal therapeutic drug monitoring unit should be setted in the Queen Sirikit Heart Center for the more appropriate and efficiency service.
