THE STUDENTS’ QUALITY OF LIFE IN POLICE NURSING COLLEGE

The purpose of this research was to study the quality of life of police nursing students and compare the quality of life of police nursing students classified by school year. The sample group was 235 police nursing students in the 1st year to the 4th year, who were enrolled in the academic year 2020. The research instrument was the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL) questionnaire (Thai brief version). The reliability was .82. The statistics for analyzing the data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, one-way Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA), and Scheffe's comparison.
The research found that the average scores of police nursing students' life quality were at a high level (M = 3.53, SD = .56). The 4th-year nursing students had the highest average scores and higher than 3rd-year and 1st-year nursing students, with a statistical significance at a level of .05. Moreover, the physical quality of life of the 4th-year nursing students was higher than the 3rd-year police nursing students, with a statistical significance at a level of .05. For the environmental quality of life, it was found that the 4th-year police nursing students had a significantly higher score than the 3rd-year and the 1st-year nursing student with statistical significance at a level of .05 and the 2nd-year nursing students also had a significantly higher score than the 1st-year nursing students with statistical significance at a level of .05. However, there was no statistically significant difference between the psychological quality of life and the social quality of life among the 1st to 4th-year nursing students.
