Abstract

The study of the development of the recreation therapy program for aging happiness was a quasi-experiment. The purpose of this study was to study the result of recreation therapy program on aging happiness. The sample group consisted of volunteers who were 60 years old and up and living in Pincharoen Community 2, Don Muang, Bangkok. They were divided into an experimental group of 24 persons and a control group of 30 persons.

The results of this study were found that: 1) After participating the recreation therapy program, the aging in an experimental group had higher scores of physical, emotional, societal and relation aspects, positive thinking, and empowering life than the aging’s scores before participating the recreation therapy program with the statistical significance level of .05. 2) After participating the recreation therapy program, the aging of an experimental group had higher scores of physical, emotional, societal and relation aspects, positive thinking, and empowering life than the aging’s scores of a control group with the statistical significance level of .05.
