บทคัดย่อ

Introduction; Throughout the life of a diabetic patient There is a 15% chance of diabetic foot ulceration and in this group there is a chance that the leg will be amputated. Therefore, nurses have an important role in caring for wounds. and increase the potential of patients to have a better quality of life.

Objective: To study nursing practices for patients with type 2 diabetes who have foot ulcers and cannot control their sugar levels.

Methods: Case study of two patients with type 2 diabetes who had foot ulcers and were unable to control their blood sugar levels. Health status assessment according to the Gordon Health Plan. Define nursing diagnosis Use the nursing process as a framework for nursing practice. Evaluate and summarize nursing results.

Results: The results of the study found that both case studies had similar important nursing issues, namely knowledge and understanding of diabetes. Diet, foot care, wound care, and continuous self-care are not enough. Lack of confidence, lack of nursing skills provided is Providing knowledge about diabetes Eating, taking care of your feet, practicing continuous wound care skills at home. Including noticing changes in symptoms that may occur and being able to help yourself initially and accessing service sources near your home.

Suggestions: Giving knowledge Empowerment to patients to gain confidence in taking care of themselves, which will make nursing more effective
