Effectiveness of Motorcycling Avoidance Behaviors Promotion Program among Adolescence under 15 Years Old

Abstract
This research aimed to study the effectiveness of motorcycling avoidance behaviors promotion program among adolescence under 15 years old as well as the family support on motorcycling literacy and the avoidance behaviors. The sample of 88 adolescents was equally divided into experimental and control groups. The research instrument consisted of motorcycling avoidance behaviors promotion program, motorcycling literacy scale ( = .91), and motorcycling avoidance behaviors scale ( = .87). The two-way MANOVA was used for data analysis.
The results found that the experimental group had the interaction between motorcycling avoidance behaviors promotion program among adolescence under 15 years old and the family support on motorcycling literacy and the avoidance behaviors. The results also revealed that 1) the experimental group who had both high and low levels of family support had significantly higher motorcycling literacy than the control group and 2) the experimental group who had high levels of family support had significantly higher motorcycling avoidance behaviors than the control group. Thus, this study can be applied as a training program to prevent motorcycle riding among adolescence under 15 years old.
