ความต้องการจำเป็นด้านการบริการโรคมะเร็ง ของผู้ป่วยโรคมะเร็งและผู้ดูแลในประเทศไทย

การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนานี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมิน และจัดลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นในการบริการโรคมะเร็งของผู้ป่วย และผู้ดูแล กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ป่วยมะเร็ง และผู้ดูแล 462 คน ที่มารับบริการในโรงพยาบาลมะเร็งของประเทศไทย 8 แห่ง คัดเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือ คือ แบบสอบถามความต้องการบริการโรคมะเร็งสำหรับผู้ป่วย 1 ชุด และผู้ดูแล 1 ชุด เป็นแบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 4 ระดับ ความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาเท่ากับ 1.00 และค่าความเชื่อมั่นสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค () เท่ากับ .87 และ .92 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทั่วไปด้วยค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และจัดลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นด้วย modified priority needs index
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ความต้องการจำเป็นด้านการบริการโรคมะเร็งภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (PNImodified = .23) ลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นรายด้าน 3 ลำดับแรก ได้แก่ 1) การป้องกันโรค (PNImodified = .36) 2) การดูแลประคับประคอง (PNImodified = .35) และ 3) การตรวจคัดกรองโรค (PNImodified = .30) ความต้องการจำเป็นสูงสุดแต่ละเรื่องตามแผนพัฒนาระบบบริการสุขภาพโรคมะเร็ง 5 ด้าน คือ ความรู้เรื่องการป้องกันโรค (PNImodified = .43) การตรวจคัดกรองโรค (PNImodified = .42) การทราบผลการวินิจฉัยรวดเร็ว (PNImodified = .18) ระยะเวลาในการรักษาแต่ละครั้ง (PNImodified = .10) และการเยี่ยมบ้านจากบุคลากรการแพทย์ (PNImodified = .70) ตามลำดับ ข้อเสนอแนะ การจัดบริการโรคมะเร็งในสถานบริการควรพัฒนาบริการด้านการป้องกันโรค การตรวจคัดกรองโรค และการดูแลประคับประคองให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของผู้ป่วยและผู้ดูแล
