The Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Perception and Participation on Quality Assurance Operation of student nurse at Boromarajonani College of Nursing , Saraburi

Abstract
This descriptive research aimed to describe the knowledge, perception and participation of nursing students on the Quality Assurance of nursing college and compared between factors educational level and level of receiving data of Quality Assurance. The sample comprised 210 nursing students from Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Saraburi in academic year 2010. The instruments were consisted of the demographic data, the test of Quality Assurance, the questionnaire perception and participation on Quality Assurance operation of nursing student. The data were analyzed by the descriptive statistics and One Way ANOVA.
The results showed that the nursing students had the overall mean of the knowledge of Quality assurance (= 11.32, SD = 1.61), perception (= 19.66, SD = 3.31) and participation (= 3.46, SD = 0.57) on Quality assurance at high level. According to the difference of educational level were effect on the overall means of the knowledge and participation, was statistically significant at .05 level. The difference of level of receiving data of Quality Assurance were effect on participation, was statistically significant at .05 level . However the difference of educational level and the level of receiving weren’t influence on the overall mean of perception.
These findings could be used as the basis for promotion of Quality Assurance activities among student nurses with regards to educational level, learning style, and communication channel that concurrent with nursing student demand. Moreover, by participation in Quality Assurance processes, nursing students gain knowledge to develop themselves and continuously support Quality Assurance operations in their nursing college.
