บทบาทของการให้รังสีหลังผ่าตัดในผู้ป่วยมะเร็งทวารหนัก ของโรงพยาบาลศิริราช
บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาย้อนหลังในผู้ป่วยมะเร็งทวารหนักที่มารับการให้รังสีของโรงพยาบาลศิริราช ตั้งแต่มกราคม 2530 ถึง ธันวาคม 2537 รวม 189 ราย โดยมีระยะโรคตั้งแต่ B, จนถึงระยะโรคกระจายไกล พบว่าจำนวนผู้ป่วยที่ได้รังสีตามหลังผ่าตัดอย่างต่อเนื่องต่อจำนวนผู้ป่วยที่มารับรังสีทั้งหมดในแต่ละปีมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มจากร้อยละ 34.8 มาเป็น 57 ในช่วง 6 ปีนี้ ซึ่งผลการรักษาในด้านควบคุมโรคเฉพาะที่จะดีกว่าการผ่าตัดอย่างเตียวดังมีรายงานจากสถาบันต่าง ๆ ส่วนปัจจัยทางด้านเทคนิคการให้รังสี เช่น พลังงาน ปริมาณและทิศทางของรังสีที่ใช้จะมีผลควบคุมต่อภาวะแทรกช้อนที่จะเกิดขึ้น
