IsoCal evaluation for isocentric performance check of Varian linacs with C-series and TrueBeam

Abstract

The Varian linear accelerator integrated imaging system has developed patient’s position verification relative to the treatment room. This increases convenient and efficacy during patient setup verification. This system consists of 4 isocenters types: mechanical isocenter, radiation isocenter, kV imaging isocenter, and MV imaging isocenter. The daily quality assurance must take into account the verification of coordinate coincidence. The Isocal verification system is used to evaluate the isocentric performance check of Varian linacs with C-series and TrueBeam. There are Isocal phantom, collimator plate, and software, which is easy to use and produce an accurate result.
