Abstract

Outcomes of Physiotherapy Service in Public Health Center 56, Health Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Year 2010

Objective: To study the patient characteristic and outcomes of physiotherapy services at the Public Health Center 56, Health Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in year 2010.

Study design: Descriptive retrospective study

Setting: Public Health Center 56, Health Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Subjects: Patients who attended an out-patient or a home-based physiotherapy services between 1 January 2010 and 31 December 2010.

Methods: The data such as gender, age, diseases, treatments, results, and satisfaction were collected and statistically analyzed.

Results: There were 372 patients: 268 females (72%), 114 (30.6%) aged 61-72 years. Myalgia and tendinitis were the top rank diagnoses among the out-patients while the top rank of the home-based service was stroke. The results showed 147 out of 210 out-patients (70%) being improved, whereas 50 out of 162 home-based patients (30.9%) could reach independent self-care. Moreover patient’s satisfaction was lowest in the home-based physiotherapy quality.

Conclusion: One physiotherapist was enough for physiotherapy service in Public Health Center 56. However such service should be improved in both quantity and quality for better outcomes, patient’s satisfaction, and quality of life.

บทคัดย่อ

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาข้อมูลของผู้รับบริการกายภาพ บำบัดและผลของการให้บริการกายภาพบำบัดของศูนย์บริการ สาธารณสุข 56 ทับเจริญในปี พ.ศ. 2553 เพื่อนำไปพัฒนา ระบบการให้บริการกายภาพบำบัดในอนาคต

สถานที่ทำการวิจัย: ศูนย์บริการสาธารณสุข 56 ทับเจริญ สำนักอนามัย กรุงเทพมหานคร

กลุ่มประชากร: ผู้รับบริการกายภาพบำบัดทั้งในคลินิกและ ในชุมชน ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคม 2553 ถึง 31 ธันวาคม 2553

วิธีการศึกษา: เก็บข้อมูลเพศ อายุ โรคที่แพทย์วินิจฉัย การ รักษาทางกายภาพบำบัด ผลการรักษา และความพึงพอใจ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การแจกแจงความถี่ ค่าเฉลี่ยและร้อยละ

ผลการศึกษา: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 372 คน เป็นเพศหญิง 268 คน (ร้อยละ72) อายุระหว่าง 61-72 ปี จำนวน 114 คน (ร้อยละ 30.6) ในคลินิกให้บริการโรคกล้ามเนื้อ/เอ็นอักเสบมาก ที่สุด ส่วนในชุมชนให้บริการโรคหลอดเลือดสมองมากที่สุด ผู้ รับบริการในคลินิกมีอาการดีขึ้น 147 คนจาก 210 คน (ร้อยละ 70) ส่วนในชุมชนผู้ป่วยสามารถดูแลตนเองได้ 50 คนจาก 162 คน (ร้อยละ 30.9) และมีความพึงพอใจในคุณภาพการบริการ ในชุมชนน้อยที่สุด

สรุป: นักกายภาพบำบัด 1 คนเพียงพอต่อการให้บริการกายภาพ บำบัดของศูนย์ฯ 56 แต่ควรปรับเพิ่มปริมาณงานและคุณภาพ บริการทั้งในคลินิกและชุมชน เพื่อผลลัพธ์และความพึงพอใจที่ ดีขึ้น อันจะนำไปสู่การมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีของผู้ป่วยต่อไป
