บทคัดย่อ
ผู้ป่วยที่มีข้อบ่งชี้จำเป็นในกำรคำสำยสวนปัสสำวะมีควำมเสี่ยงสูงในกำรติดเชื้อในระบบทำงเดิน
ปัสสำวะ ซึ่งเป็นดัชนีชี้วัดคุณภำพกำรดูแลผู้ป่ วยที่สำคัญของโรงพยาบาล การป้องกันการติดเชื้อในระบบทำง
เดินปัสสำวะที่สัมพันธ์กับการคำสายสวนปัสสำวะที่ครอบคลุมทุกองค์ประกอบที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการติดเชื้อจึง
เป็นสิ่งสำคัญบุคลากรทำงการแพทย์ โดยเฉพาะพยาบาลต้องมีความรู้ ความเข้ำใจอยำงถูกต้องในกำรดูแลผู้ป่ วย
ที่คำสำยสวนปัสสำวะที่สำคัญได้แก่ กลไกกำรเกิดกำรติดเชื้อ เกณฑ์ในกำรวินิจฉัยกำรติดเชื้อ และปัจจัยที่
เกี่ยวข้องกับการติดเชื้อ ตลอดจนโรงพยาบาลต้องกำหนดแนวปฏิบัติเพื่อป้องกันการติดเชื้อดังกล่ำวที่ชัดเจน
กับการติดตามกำรปฏิบัติตำมแนวทำงที่กำหนดเพื่อเพิ่มความปลอดภัยของผู้ป่วย และลดควำมเสี่ยงต่อกำรติดเชื้อ
