The Influence of Entrepreneurial Leadership and Work Environment on Quality of Nursing Administration of Professional Nurses in a University Hospital

Abstract
The predictive research aimed to explore the level of entrepreneurial leadership, work environment, and quality of nursing administration among professional nurses in a university hospital. Additionally, it also investigated the influence of entrepreneurial leadership and work environment on the quality of nursing administration of professional nurses. This study employed quantitative research design, and data were collected using questionnaires. Stratified Sampling was applied in selecting the samples. This research recruited 162 professional nurses who had been working at a university hospital and have working experiences at least 6 months. The questionnaire was consisted of four sections .1) demographic data 2) the entrepreneurial leadership level of profession nurses 3) the work environment , and 4) the quality of nursing administration. The questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability.The content validity of ranged 0.50 – 1.00, and the Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficients were 0.95, 0.97, and 0.97, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (percentage, mean, standard deviation), Pearson’s product moment correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results indicated that: (1) entrepreneurial leadership was at high level (x̄ =4.04, S.D. =.45); (2) the work environment was at high level ( x̄= 4.13, S.D. = .50) ; (3) the quality of nursing administration was at a high level ( x̄= 4.15, S.D. = .47), (4) Furthermore, entrepreneurial leadership and work environment significantly predicted the quality of nursing administration among professional nurses in the university hospital, accounted for 67.9 of variance (R2 = .679, p < .01) This research suggest that nursing administration should promote entrepreneurial leadership among professional nurses and foster a supportive work environment conductive to effective practice , thereby enhancing the quality of nursing administration.
