The relationships between the transformational leadership, Empowerment and happiness at work of charge nurses, a general hospital in Health Region 3

Abstract
This descriptive research aimed to investigate relationships among the transformation leadership, empowerment and happiness at work of charge nurses, a general hospital in health region 3 had the objective : 1) Examine the levels of transformational leadership, empowerment, and happiness at work among charge nurses at a general hospital in Health Region 3. , and (2) Investigate the relationships between transformational leadership, empowerment, and happiness at work among charge nurses with at least six months of work experience. The sample comprised 142 charge nurses selected using multistage sampling. Data were collected using a five-point rating scale questionnaire assessing transformational leadership, empowerment, and happiness.at work. The instrument's content validity was verified by experts, with item-objective congruence (IOC) values ranging from 0.67 to 1.00. Reliability coefficients (Cronbach’s alpha) were 0.98, 0.96, and 0.98, respectively. Descriptive statistics and Pearson’s correlation coefficient were used for data analysis.The results revealed that: 1) The level of transformational leadership among charge nurses was high (𝑥̅ = 3.94, SD = 0.45). 2) The level of empowerment among charge nurses was high (𝑥̅ = 3.84, SD = 0.42).3) The level of happiness at work among charge nurses was also high (𝑥̅ = 3.64, SD = 0.66). 4) Transformational leadership was positively correlated with happiness at work a statistically significant level (r = .262, p < .01). 5) Empowerment was positively correlated with happiness at work a statistically significant level (r = .282, p < .01).
