AN EFFECT OF GESTALT GROUP COUNSELING ON SELF-EFFICACY AND BADMINTON SERVING
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine an effect of gestalt group counseling on self-efficacy and badminton serving. The sample consisted of undergraduate students taking badminton for health class. A measure of self-efficacy in badminton serving skills. The researcher created the reliability was .92 and badminton serving test. Then select those with average self-efficacy and scores to serving Badminton in a lower average score than the 50th percentile of 20 people. These subjects then were equally divided into one experimental group and one control group with Match-pair test. The experimental group in the gestalt group counseling program for twelve sessions. The research instruments were the Self-efficacy in badminton serving skills questionnaire. The gestalt group counseling program and Badminton serving test. The data were analyzed by t-test for dependent samples and t-test for independent samples. Significance was tested at the 0.05 level.The research result were as follow: The self-efficacy of group in the gestalt group counseling program significantly increased than before at .05 level and when compare the control group reveal that the self-efficacy of group in the gestalt group counseling program significantly higher than the control group at .05 level and after the experimental gestalt group counseling had the scores to serve badminton higher than in the control group was significantly at .05 level
