Duties of authors

      1. All authors must agree to and acknowledge the submission of the manuscript for publication in the Journal of Public Health Research and Health Sciences.

      2. If the submitted manuscript is derived from a thesis/independent study, or constitutes part of a thesis/independent study, the author(s) must complete the Certification Form for Research Articles Derived from a Thesis/Independent Study to confirm that the thesis advisor has reviewed the research article derived from the thesis/independent study. In this case, the Certification Form for Article Publication in the Journal of Public Health Research and Health Sciences (Document No. 1) must also be completed concurrently.

     3. Authors must prepare the manuscript in accordance with the format specified in the "Author Guidelines."

      4. Authors must declare any conflicts of interest (if any).

      5. Authors must disclose the source(s) of research funding received (if any).

Duties of editors and assistant editors

  1. Editors and assistant editors are responsible for the consideration of the quality of the work, in terms of content and the format of article for publication in the Journal.
  2. Editors and assistant editors must not disclose any information regarding the authors and reviewers to those who are not involved in the publication process throughout the duration of the peer review process.
  3. Editors and assistant editors are responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the Journal should be published. Peer-reviewed articles are required to be in line with the aims and scope of the JPHSR.
  4. Editors and assistant editors must not use articles that have been published for other uses.
  5. If plagiarism is found, editors and assistant editors are required to consider the following evidence: the submitted article, evidence of plagiarism found, and rebuttal letter from the corresponding author. Following which, a decision whether to publish the article will be made.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are required to review the manuscript that was arranged for by the editor and section editor. In order to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the manuscript, which would benefit the authors and readers, reviewers are to consider academic value of the manuscript, adhering to the aims and scope of the JPHSR.

  1. Reviewers must not disclose any information regarding the manuscript submitted for publication to those who are not involved in the publication process throughout the duration of the peer review process
  2. Reviewers must review the manuscript by providing comments that are academically sound with supporting evidence. Reviewer should review the article without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
  3. Reviewers are asked to provide additional comments for the improvement of the manuscript.
  4. If the reviewer found evidence of plagiarism, or suspect that the submitted manuscript is similar to other published articles, the reviewer must notify the Journal in order to further evaluate the suspected manuscript.
