สถานการณ์และความสัมพันธ์ของจำนวนฟันถาวร คู่สบฟันหลัง และภาวะมวลกล้ามเนื้อน้อย ในผู้สูงอายุจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาวิจัยในครั้งนี้ เป็นวิจัยเชิงวิเคราะห์แบบภาคตัดขวาง เพื่อศึกษาสถานการณ์และความสัมพันธ์ของจำนวนฟันถาวร คู่สบฟันหลัง และภาวะมวลกล้ามเนื้อน้อยในผู้สูงอายุ จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้สูงอายุระหว่าง 60 - 80 ปี จำนวน 595 คน ผู้วิจัยสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบหลายขั้นตอน และสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบง่าย โดยใช้แบบสอบถาม การประเมินภาวะมวลกล้ามเนื้อน้อย ทั้งแบบคัดกรอง SARC-F การวัดแรงบีบมือโดยใช้ Handgrip และแบบประเมินสภาวะช่องปาก ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติการถดถอยโลจิสติคทวิ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้สูงอายุในการศึกษานี้เป็นเพศหญิง ร้อยละ 69.58 เพศชาย ร้อยละ 30.42 อายุเฉลี่ย 68.25 ± 5.87 ปี มีภาวะมวลกล้ามเนื้อน้อย ร้อยละ 25.55 โดยเพศหญิงพบ ร้อยละ 29.95 และเพศชาย ร้อยละ 15.47 พบมากที่สุดกลุ่มอายุ 80 ปี ร้อยละ 58.06 เมื่อควบคุมอิทธิพลของปัจจัยอื่น ๆ พบว่า จำนวนฟันถาวรที่มีเหลือมากหรือน้อยมีความสัมพันธ์กับภาวะมวลกล้ามเนื้อน้อย (P value = 0.005) โดยจำนวนฟันถาวร 0 - 9 ซี่/คน 1.90 เท่า (Adjusted OR = 1.90, 95% CI = 1.12 - 3.25) จำนวนฟันถาวร 10 - 19 ซี่/คน 2.29 เท่า (Adjusted OR = 2.29, 95% CI = 1.36 - 3.84) เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับกลุ่มที่มีจำนวนฟันถาวร 20 - 32 ซี่/คน จำนวนคู่สบฟันหลังไม่พบความสัมพันธ์กับภาวะมวลกล้ามเนื้อน้อย ดังนั้นควรมีการคัดกรองสุขภาพช่องปากและภาวะมวลกล้ามเนื้อน้อยในผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน โดยเฉพาะผู้ที่มีอายุมาก มีโรคประจำตัว และรวมทั้งส่งเสริมการบริโภคอาหารที่มีโปรตีนเพียงพอและกิจกรรมทางกาย
