Health literacy and factors associated with quality of life of village health volunteers in situation of COVID-19 Mueang Ubon Ratchathani district, Ubon Ratchathani province

Abstract

This cross-sectional analytical study was to study health literacy and factors associated with quality of life of village health volunteers in the situation of the coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic, Mueang Ubon Ratchathani District Ubon Ratchathani Province. Data were collected from 428 village health by using simple random sampling. A questionnaire with a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient between 0.73 – 0.80 was used. Data were analyzed using the descriptive and inferential statistics with multiple logistic regression and value presented as an adjusted odds ratio (ORadj), 95%CI and the statistical significance level at 0.05. The results showed that 56.8% of the samples had health literacy on coronavirus disease 2019 was high level 68.2% was good quality of life of and the factors significantly related to quality of life (p<0.05) were sex (ORadj=0.34, 95% CI: 0.16 – 0.90), perception of the role of villagers (ORadj=3.01, 95% CI: 1.65-5.51), Performance Motivation (ORadj=4.25, 95% CI: 2.60 – 6.93). Therefore, it should focus on improving the quality of life of village health volunteers by promoting role perception and motivation to work for practice in the new situation of epidemic or re-emerging diseases in the future.
