Abstract

Abstract: The evaluation of the succass of the donor retention program in the 2 years project "Ceration of 50 th Anniversany of His Majesty the King's Ascension the Throne-Al Thais Join Blood Donation" between the year 1995-1996, comparing with 4 previous years. The fist phase (1991-1992) compared with the second one (1993-1994) was the period I, and the second phase compared with the third on (1995-1996) was the peiod IT. The study showed that period I was the ortical decline of blood donation dropped to 4.7% and the number of blood donor was about the same, 0.1%. The one time donaton was -0.2% while the 2, 3, 4 times/year were sighty increased as 0.05, 1.2 and 2.19, respectively and the peak of donation was among the 41-50, 51-60 age groups as 11.5 and 12.9% respecively. The period II, the carebration project could stimulate not only the total donation 14.7% higher but also 7.4% more blood donors.  The first time donation was very sightly increased, O.5% while the 2, 3, 4 timeslyear were successfully stimulated, 11.9, 29.7, 29.2% respectively her. The age groups 41-50, 51-60 were the same peak donor but 25, 21% higher while the age groups 21-30 and 31-40 were remarkably increased 8:5 and 18.7% nigher than the period The study showed the successful of the project except the young-age group which was 13.58% decreased.
