บทคัดย่อ: เด็กชายอายุ 11 ปี รับไว้ในโรงพยาบาลด้วยอาการไข้ มา 3 เดือน ตรวจพบก้อนขนาดใหญ่ที่กลีบล่างของปอดซ้าย ภาพถ่ายเอกซเรย์คอมพิวเตอร์ทรวงอกพบก้อนขนาดใหญ่ที่มีหินปูนร่วมด้วย ผู้ป่วยได้รับการผ่าตัดก้อนเนื้อออก รวมทั้งต่อมน้ำเหลืองที่ขั้วปอด ผลตรวจทางพยาธิวิทยาพบว่าก้อนเนื้อมีลักษณะเข้าได้กับโรคพลูโรพูลโมนารี บลาสโตมาชนิดก้อนเนื้อ หลังผ่าตัดผู้ป่วยมีอากรชัก สาเหตุจากมะเร็งที่แพร่กระจายไปยังสมอง ผู้ป่วยได้รับการรักษาด้วยยาเคมีบำบัดสูตรผสมระหว่างวินคริสติน ซโคลฟอสฟาไมด์ ด็อกโซรูบิชิน และอิ่โทโปไซด์ และฉายรังสี หลังจากให้ยาเคมีบำบัดครบ 4 ชุดแล้วผู้ป่วยยังมีก้อนเนื้องอกเหลือในสมอง จึงได้รับการผ่าตัดก้อนเนื้องอกออก ขณะนี้ผู้ป่วยสบายดีหลังติดตามการรักษามา 6 เดือน
