The third issue of the Journal of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine for 2026 has now been published.

This issue features several noteworthy articles. Among them, Nachapol Jatuten and colleagues from the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, present the first Thai study evaluating the incorporation of thrombopoietin receptor agonists into the treatment of pediatric severe acquired aplastic anemia. Their article, entitled “Clinical Outcomes of Pediatric Patients with Severe Acquired Aplastic Anemia Treated at Siriraj Hospital,” provides important real-world evidence on this emerging therapeutic approach.   

In addition, Sarayutt Leelapeerapong and colleagues from the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Thammasat University, Pathum Thani, report a comprehensive study entitled “Prevalence of Anemia and Associated Risk Factors Among Late Preterm Infants Aged 6–12 Months at Thammasat University Hospital.” This study examines the burden of anemia and identifies factors associated with its development in this vulnerable pediatric population.
