The Effect of Education and Counseling for Oral Contraceptive Pill Use

Abstract
The purposes of this study were to study the effect of education and counseling for oral contraceptive pill use by pharmacy students and to evaluate customerûs satisfaction on this service. The study was conducted at Klung-Ya drug store and Ban Wat village. Data from forty-two subjects were collected by interviewing and using questionnaire for knowledge 2 times including before and one month after receiving education and counseling. The result indicated that customerûs knowledge on medicine use was increased significantly from 12.14 to 17.14 scores (p < 0.05) In conclusion, it can conclude that education and counseling is beneficial for increasing customer knowledge on oral contraceptive pill use. The highest mean of most customer satisfactions were counselor and counseling content.
