Self-empowerment in preventing complications in patients with type 2 diabetes Tambon Nong Phai Health Promotion Hospital Nadun district Mahasarakham province

Abstract

Introduction: This research is a Quasi - Experimental Research. Its aim to compare the behavior of self-empowerment to prevent complications among elderly with type 2 diabetes in the responsibility of Tambon Nong Phai Health Promotion Hospital Nong Phai sub district Nadun district Mahasarakham province. Method: Samples were divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group by selecting a sample of a sample-specific screening diabetic patient without insulin to the experimental group of 30 people and the control group of 30 people for a total of 60 people. Results: The experimental group and the comparison group were most common in women, aged between 60-64 years old, married, agricultural occupation, illness duration of 15 years with diabetes, blood sugar levels of diabetic patients level which more than 126 mg. Conclusion: Compared different average rating of behavior empowerment scale for prevent complications between the two groups. There was on significance in the scores of power for prevent complications between the experiment and control group before start the experiment. After the experiment, the score of power for prevent complications in experiment group was significantly higher than control group.
