The proper use of an inhaler device was evaluated check list form by pharmacist and satisfaction was evaluated by questionnaire. Results: Knowledge about asthma and self management of the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group (p < 0.05). The proper use of Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI)device post test was significantly greater than pre test (p < 0.05). However, there were no statistically significant differences in the proper use of Accuhaler device (p > 0.05). Overall, the most of patients satisfied pharmacist counseling and also attitudes to the multimedia program counseling were favorable. The study showed that the multimedia counseling demonstrated positive knowledge and enhanced proper use of an inhaler device and can be used as a valuable resource in the pharmacist counseling.
