Methods: this is a before and after quasi-experimental study. Fourty asthmatic patients were purposive selected from patients who were registered in asthma clinic of Warinchamrab hospital. All of them received home care pharmacy service once per month for consecutive 3 months. Paired t-test was used for statistical analysis with the signifi cance level α = 0.05 Results: Most of asthmatic patients were female (75%), average age was 51.67 ± 2.15 years, had been diagnosed of asthma for average 9.91 ± 1.31 years. After home care pharmacy service, It was found that the lung function with average PEFR signifi cantly increased from 310.22 ± 101.69 L/min to 337.31 ± 96.61 L/min (p = 0.007). Score of asthma control test in 4 weeks signifi cantly increased from 20.58 ± 3.95 to 22.52 ± 2.99 (p = 0.012). Knowledge score on asthma and stimulant factors signifi cantly increased from 12.38 ± 2.84 to 14.63 ± 2.70 (p < 0.001). Quality of life assessed by Mini AQLQ significantly increased from 58.63 ± 9.36 to 62.33 ± 9.01 (p = 0.002). Conclusion: lung function capacity, level of asthma control, knowledge on disease and stimulant factors and quality of life in asthmatic patients can be improved by home care pharmacy service.
