Announcement: Important Updates to Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Medicine (BSCM)

2026-10-27

Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Medicine (BSCM) is pleased to announce several developments to strengthen the journal’s quality, transparency, and publication capacity.

1.New Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Team

We are pleased to welcome Professor Worapaka Manosroi, MD, PhD, as the new Editor-in-Chief of BSCM, effective October 1, 2026, together with a new editorial team representing a wide range of biomedical and clinical disciplines. The full list of members is available under Editorial Team on the journal website.

We sincerely thank Pornngarm Dejkriengkraikul, PhD. and the former editorial team for their dedication and valuable contributions to the journal.

2.Temporary Increase in Publication Capacity for 2027

For the 2027 publication year only, BSCM will temporarily increase the number of articles published per issue from 15 to 20, beginning with the first issue of 2027. This one-year expansion is intended to accommodate more high-quality research and help shorten the time from acceptance to publication. Publication capacity for subsequent years will be reviewed and announced separately.

3.Updated Journal Policies and Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

BSCM has revised its editorial and publication policies, including its Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement, to promote research integrity, transparency, and adherence to international standards of publication ethics and best practices.

Authors are requested to review the updated statement and Author Guidelines on the journal website before submission. Manuscripts submitted on or after October 1, 2026 must comply with the revised policies.

4.Updated Peer Review Process Webpage

The Peer Review Process webpage has also been updated to provide clearer information about manuscript evaluation, peer review, and editorial decision-making. Authors, reviewers, and readers are encouraged to consult this page for details of the journal’s review procedures.

We thank our authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and readers for their continued support and look forward to receiving your contributions.
