บทคัดย่อ

            บทนำ: ในวัฒนธรรมเอเชียที่ให้ความสำคัญกับกลุ่มนิยมและลัทธิขงจื๊อ การเป็นโสด
มักนำมาซึ่งแรงกดดันทางสังคมและคุณค่าในตนเองที่ลดลง ซึ่งส่งผลเสียต่อคุณภาพชีวิต
การเจริญสติซึ่ง มาจากประเพณีทางพุทธศาสนาที่คุ้นเคยในสังคมเหล่านี้อาจเป็นแนวทางช่วยเหลือที่เหมาะสมทางวัฒนธรรม


          เนื้อหา: การทบทวนวรรณกรรมเชิงบรรยายนี้บูรณาการงานวิจัยที่มีอยู่เกี่ยวกับกลไกของการเจริญสติเข้ากับความท้าทายเฉพาะที่บุคคลโสดในบริบทวัฒนธรรมเอเชียตะวันออก มีการเสนอสมมติฐานสี่ประการที่การเจริญสติ อาจช่วยเพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิตให้กับชาวเอเชียตะวันออก
ที่เป็นโสด ได้แก่ การควบคุมอารมณ์ การยอมรับตนเอง การเชื่อมโยงทางสังคม และการสร้างความหมาย นอกจากนี้ มีการอภิปรายถึงการ ปรับใช้โปรแกรมการเจริญสติที่มุ่งเป้าไปที่ผู้ใหญ่โสดชาวเอเชียตะวันออก


          สรุป: บทความนี้เสนอ 4 กลไกที่การเจริญสติอาจช่วยเพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิตของชาวเอเชียตะวันออกที่เป็นโสด การทดสอบเชิงประจักษ์และโปรแกรมที่ปรับให้เหมาะกับวัฒนธรรมมีความจำเป็นสำหรับการวิจัยและการปฏิบัติ ในอนาคต
