บทคัดย่อ
โรคจิตเภทเป็นปัญหาทางจิตเวชที่พบมากที่สุดและเป็นโรคเรื้อรังที่มีความผิดปกติทางด้านความคิด การรับรู้ อารมณ์พฤติกรรมและมักมีอาการเกิดขึ้นแบบค่อยเป็นค่อยไป จนทำให้ผู้ป่วยโรคจิตเภทไม่สามารถปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในชีวิตประจำวัน ส่งผลต่อการทำงาน การดูแลสุขภาพอนามัยของตนเอง และทำให้ต้องกลับไปรักษาซ้ำ บทความนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อนำเสนอถึงพยาธิสรีรวิทยาและเภสัชวิทยาขั้นสูง โดยครอบคลุมถึง สาเหตุของความผิดปกติ การดำเนินโรค การรักษา การพยากรณ์โรค การวิเคราะห์ประเด็นสำคัญเพื่อนำไปสู่ข้อเสนอแนะที่จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการพยาบาลผู้ป่วยจิตเภท เพื่อให้พยาบาลสามารถนำไปให้การพยาบาลผู้ป่วยจิตเภทได้อย่างเหมาะสมและช่วยให้ผู้ป่วยได้รับการพยาบาลอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ส่งผลในการป้องกันการกลับเป็นซ้ำและเพิ่มศักยภาพในการใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีคุณภาพในสังคมได้
