Developing of the Learning and Teaching with E-learning Model for Undergraduate Nursing Student in Principle and Techniques in Nursing

Abstract

This research and development aimed to develop the learning and teaching practice based on E-learning model for undergraduate nursing student in principle and techniques in nursing and to evaluate the satisfaction of the students in Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Buddhachinaraj. The sample included twenty nursing students who completed the principles and techniques in nursing subject in 2561 (academic year), ten teachers, and the thirty second-year nursing students of the Faculty of Nursing Science, academic year 2019. The E-learning module was implemented during September 2019 and March 2021 and divided in three phases: the first phase; the problems and the situation of E-learning were analyzed; The second phase, E-learning module was developed and generated the learning & teaching style into the Google classroom, and the third phase, E-learning model was tested. The content validity (CVI) was .89 and the internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha) was .94. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results found that after using the model, the mean score of students’ satisfactions towards the E-learning model was highest. Conclusions, the e-learning model should be used in the management of teaching and learning in the further Bachelor of Nursing Science program, particularly in the principle and technique in nursing subject.
