Factors affecting the operation of Child Development Center under subdistrict Administrative Organization, Phetchaburi Province

The purposes of this correlational descriptive research were to study the factor affecting the operation of Child Development Center under Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Phetchaburi Province. The research population was 116 child caregivers working at Child Development Center under Subdistrict administrative organization, Phetchaburi Province. The research instruments for data collection were composed of : 1) personal characteristic questionnaire 2) factor affecting the operation of Child Development Center questionnaire 3) the operation of Child Development Center questionnaire. The content validity of the questionnaire of the factor affecting the operation of Child Development Center and the questionnaire of operation of Child Development Center were confirmed to be valid by a panel of experts with, scores of .93 and .91, respectirely. The Cronbach’s alphas coefficients of these questionnaires .88 and .85, respectirely. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The results were shown as follows : 1. The total score of factors affecting the operation of Child Development Center was at high level. Considering by each aspect, it was found that the scores of 7 aspects were at high level that is the interpersonal relations, the achievement, the supervision technical, the working conditions, the recognition, the work itself and responsibility. 2. The total score of operation of Child Development Center was at high level. Considering by each aspect, it was found that the scores of 6 aspects were at high level that is personnel, academic and curriculum-based activities, participation by all sectors, management, support for center networking and aspect of facilities, environment and security. 3. There was a statistically significant positive correlation at moderate level between the factors affecting the operation of Child Development Center and operation of Child Development Center (r= 0.644, P < .05). There was a statistically significant positive correlation at moderate level between the motivation factors and operation of Child Development Center (r=0.530, P < .05). There was a statistically significant positive correlation at moderate level between the hygiene factors and the operation of Child Development Center (r=0.611, P < .05)
