DRUG PREVENTION CAMPAIGN AND PURSUING JUSTICE BY USING SPORT AS A MEDIUM EXTENSIONS IN SCHOOL: AN INTEGRATED APPROACH

Abstract

The purposes of this action research were to create reality through perception to make an understanding and attitude toward achieving the project's objectives. And to synthesized the efficiency model for the further implementation of the project. The research methodology employed Participatory Action Research (PAR) through facilitated participatory learning on good corporate between researchers and research participants under directing following four activities are included: (i) project workshop; (ii) drug prevention campaign of 24 schools in Bangkok and perimeter area; (iii) Futsal championship tournament and (iv) focus group discussion. A total of 972 subjects were volunteered to participate in the study .The research instruments used in this study were collected by using 9 questionnaires, observation and interview form and supervision record form. The Item total correlation values ranged between 0.22 and 0.79, and reliability value ranged between 0.53-0.89. Data analysis was using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s product moment correlation, Independent t-test, one - way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and multiple regression analysis for quantitative data analysis. The qualitative data analysis was using methodological triangulation technique.
The results from this study revealed that Participatory Action Research (PAR) was successfully achieved the six main objectives. In regard to the component of efficiency of project of which the CIPP model was introduced for the study, it was found that all of the four components (i.e. Context, Input, Process, and Product) were efficiency and suitable on the scale of the evaluations in this study. Data reported in this study provided the guidance to launch the drug prevention campaign in school considering the appropriate of the model, community context different and youth target group.
