NATIONAL SPORTS DEVELOPMENT: THE MODEL APPLICATION OF STRATEGIES FOR ELITE SPORTS OF SPORTS AUTHORITY OF THAILAND

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) to evaluate a data’s effect from environment and the need to develop a strategic application model for elite sports of Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) 2) to develop an appropriate strategic application model for elite sports of SAT. The hybrid research methodology (qualitative and quantitative) was used in this study. A qualitative population and sample group is a CEO of SAT from region 1-5 ten persons with focus group and structure interviews. A quantitative sample group is a director of SAT from region 1-5 twenty persons that followed by Modified Delphi Technics. A round 1 and 2 have median up to 3.50 and quartile range down from 1.50. All texts or comments from the experts have a high consistent and no change.
The assessment of the possibility to bringing this model to use showed all comment have a mean values equal 5.0 (Scale 5 = the most appropriate). The conclusion of a consensus of research blended from both of qualitative and quantitative and brainstorm meeting of the experts to suggest a strategic application model for elite sports of SAT should contain with four element groups: group 1-management, group 2-managing management resources, group 3-the success of a strategic application model for elite sports and group 4-a good governance
