Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop guidelines for management of the Lao National Sports Training Center. There were 489 participants related to Lao National Sports Training Center, executives, staffs, trainers and athletes of the advanced sports departments, Lao Sports Federation, Gymnastic Talent School and Lao National Sports Training Center. The instrument of the study was questionnaire developed by the researcher. The validity ranged between 0.82 to 0.96 and reliability was 0.99. Means and standard deviations were analyzed; and then applied the result of the study to develop guidelines for management of the Lao National Sports Training Center. After that conducted in-depth interview with 5 executives and partners related to Lao National Sports Center.
The research findings were as follows:
1. Guidelines for the management of the Lao National Sports Training Center consist of planning, organizing, leading and controlling aspects as follow:
1.1 Planning aspect should determine vision, mission, goals, objectives, operating plans, action plans, and strategies in developing the Lao National Sports Training Center.
1.2 Organizing aspect consists of functional structure that covers academics, services, administration and medical science perspectives.
1.3 Leading aspect should create motivation for task implementation, policy on task operation and materials supporting coordination. 1.4 Controlling aspect should determine a set of key performance indicator to evaluate the result of the development of the Lao National Training Center.
