Knowledge Attitudes and Self-defense behaviors from Using pesticides in the responsible area of Banpakrai Health Promotion Hospital, Nong Lom Subdistrict, Hang Chat District, Lampang Province

Abstract

Research, Knowledge, Attitudes and Self-defense Behaviors from Using Pesticides in the responsible area of Ban Pa Krai Health Promotion Hospital, Nong Lom Subdistrict, Hang Chat District, Lampang Province. The objectives of this study was to study the level of knowledge, attitude and self-defense behavior of agricultural pesticides and to find the relationship between knowledge, attitude and self-protection behavior of farmers from using pesticides. The research sample consisted of 88 farmers in the responsible area of Nong Lom Sub-district by Purposive Sampling. A descriptive statistic data was used as a frequency, Percentage, mean and Standard Deviation. The analytic statistic that was used Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Knowledge, Attitudes and Self-defense Behaviors from use of pesticides by farmers is mostly high have mean and Standard Deviation equaled to 2.93 (.295), 2.94 (.233), 2.98 (.106) and 2.97 (.146) respectively, from the relationship tests showed that knowledge was associated positively with sleep quality the coefficient of 0.475 and there was a positive relationship with farmers' post-use of pesticide behavior and had a correlation coefficient of 0.423 the use of pesticides has been found to have a positive relationship with pre-chemical behavior. Attitude was associated to a positive correlation with the farmers' behaviors before using pesticides the correlation coefficient was 0.176. and had a positive correlation with farmers' behavior while using pesticides. The correlation coefficient was 0.307 with statistical significance at the 0.01 level.
