Abstract

Cannabis oil is new to conventional medicine in Thailand, as there are few reports of treatment results. This report presents the clinical experience on treatment with 1.7THC cannabis oil, Chaophraya Abhaibhubejhr fomular in 54 patients in Pranangklao Hospital, Nonthaburi province from January to December 2020. Of the 54 patients, 33 (61.1%) had continued treatment. Effective treatment was observed in 27 (81.8%) of those 33 patients with continuous treatment. Effective treatment was found in patients with pain, stage IV cancer, palliative care, Parkinson’s disease, insomnia, and Tourette syndrome. In the study, severe side effects of treatment such as delirium, hypoglycemia, and illusion were not detected. The most common symptom reported from the patients was temporary vertigo. Therefore, 1.7THC cannabis oil is safe and beneficial.
