Abstract

When mentoring post graduate students in thehealth arena, I find it valuable to refer back to theFlexner Report of 19102 and the developments inglobal health and medical services and education ofprofessionals since then. Now with the publicationof the Lancet Commissions report3 at the end of2010 on the state of professional education andrecommendations for the new century, it is vital thatall education stakeholders understand the importance
