The clinical supervision model for head nurses at community hospital in Sakon Nakhon Province

Abstract

Objective : This study aims 1) To develop the Clinical Supervision Model of Head nurse patient building, Community Hospital in Sakon Nakhon province. 2) To compare knowledge of The Clinical Supervision and survey satisfaction of Head nurse in community hospital, Pretest and Posttest when use The Clinical Supervision Model. 3) To compare satisfaction of Registered nurse pretest and posttest when use The Clinical Supervision Model. Material and methods : The Research model is for research and development The methodology consists of the following: 1)Analysis for The Clinical Supervision Model situation. 2) Design the bbbmodel of the Clinical Supervision.3) Trials on how to use The Clinical Supervision Model. 4) Evaluate the use of the patterns 5) Summarizing the result of using The Clinical Supervision Model.The sample groups are divided in 2 groups. The first group is Head nurse in community hospital amount 6 persons. The second is registered nurses that receive The Clinical Supervision Model test amount 45 persons who work at community hospital in Sakon Nakhon province.The research tools are knowledge test for Head nurse patient building, the satisfaction questionnaire of Head nurse patient building, the satisfaction questionnaire of the registered nurses who receive The Clinical Supervision Model test, the researcher’s knowledge test that was obtained from the literature review by using The Clinical Supervision Model concept of Proctor, the research pass validate directness of content by professor and confidence test by use Kuder-Richardson formula get the value equal to 0.96. As for the satisfaction questionnaire of Head nurse patient building and the satisfaction questionnaire of the registered nurses who receive The Clinical Supervision Model test borrowed tools from Nucharee Chumphanit ( Permission from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University ) that were developed from The Clinical Supervision Model concept of Proctor to get the confidence value of 0.94 and 0.97 respectively. Data were analyzed with an average, standard deviation and statistic (Wilcoxon matched pair Signed – Ranks test) and the statistical test for related type (Paired t-test). Results : The research found that 1) The Clinical Supervision Model is based on Proctor’s concept. 2) The Head nurses patient building’s knowledge who worked at community hospital in Sakon Nakhon province pre tested and posttest to use The Clinical Supervision Model that has no statistical difference. The satisfaction of head nurse patient building after using clinical supervision model was higher than before using clinical supervision model. 3) The Satisfaction of the person who receive the test after using the Clinical Supervision Model higher than before using the Clinical Supervision Model. Conclusion : The researcher concluded that The Clinical Supervision Model for Head nurse patient building, community hospital in Sakon Nakhon province can be used with nursing group in the other department such as Labor Room and Emergency Room by use to applying them to suit their own context.
