Abstract

Objective : This study was retrospective study, Purpose to study clinical characteristics, median time survival and factors affect mortality in peritoneal dialysis patients, Chumphea hospital, Khon Kean province Materials and methods : The data were collected from peritoneal dialysis patients who were treated since 1st Junuary, 2015 to 31st December, 2018 which were followed for one year. The survival rate and factors effect the survival were analyzed by kalplan-Meier Regression Dialysis was used to analyze risk factors affect the patient s’ survival. Result : 109 Peritoneal Dialysis patients were included in this study, 36 patients who reached the end point of death. the mean of the patient survival at the end of follow up period 4196 weeks. survival rate 0.8 per 100 person per weeks, respectively, and the median survival time was 82 weeks. multivariate survival analysis showed that age (HR 1.01, 95%CI: 1.01 -1.1, p-value = 0.01) , Body Mass Index (BMI) (HR 0.87, 95%CI 0.81-0.95, p-value = < 0.01) and low serum albumin (HR 0.13, 95%CI 0.05- 0.34, p-value = < 0.01) were risk factors for one year mortality in PD patients. Conclusions : Age,serum albumin ,BMI were risk factors for one year mortality in PD patients and populations which affect the accuracy of the prognostic model
