High voltage Electrical cataract in Thai electrician: A case report

Abstract

The case of high voltage electric shock in both eyes of 21 years old Thai man with skin burn on the face, neck, right shoulder, right arm and right leg. Cataract were developed after two months. The phacoemulsification with foldable hydrophobic posterior chamber intraocular lens (PCIOL) implantation were done with no complication. The visual acuity of both eyes were improved to 20/30 and 20/20 in right and left eye respectively. This indicated that the surgical results with electrical cataract was good if no any other ocular damage.
