Executive Summary of the 2022 Thailand Chronic Kidney Disease–Mineral and Bone Disorder (CKD-MBD) Guideline

Abstract

The Nephrology Society of Thailand (NST) and Thailand Pediatric Nephrology Association recognize the importance and awareness of the problems related to abnormalities in minerals and hormones associated with bone disorders, which impact the quality of life and survival of adult and children with chronic kidney disease. Therefore, the work group propose this clinical practice guidelines based on the currently available scientific evidence as well as the context and readiness of Thailand. The work group has screened, collected, and analyzed the available data from research studies conducted both in Thailand and abroad to develop 2022 Thailand Chronic Kidney Disease–Mineral and Bone Disorder (CKD-MBD) Guideline. The purpose of this guideline is to help physicians provide proper care for patients in accordance with the current evidence as well as to serve as a standard for the management of CKD-MBD.
