หลักการและวัตถุประสงค์ : ผลกระทบจากการสัมผัสควันบุหรี่มือสองในกลุ่มวัยรุ่นเป็นที่ทราบกันดีว่าส่ง ผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพและเพิ่มความเสี่ยงในการเป็นนักสูบหน้าใหม่ พฤติกรรมการหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสองในบ้านมีบทบาทสำคัญในกลุ่มวัยรุ่นในการป้องกันการสัมผัสควันบุหรี่มือสอง การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสองในบ้านและปัจจัยทำนายพฤติกรรมการหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสองในบ้านของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดชัยนาท วิธีการศึกษา : การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงสำรวจภาคตัดขวาง กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น จำนวน 298 คน ที่สัมผัสควันบุหรี่มือสองในบ้าน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถามและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนาและสถิติวิเคราะห์การถดถอยเชิงเส้นแบบพหุคูณ ผลการศึกษา : พบว่า ค่าคะแนนพฤติกรรมการหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสองในบ้านเฉลี่ย 23.14 คะแนน (SD=3.71) จัดอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง การได้รับแรงสนับสนุนจากครอบครัว (β=0.508, p<0.001) การรับรู้ความสามารถในการหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสองของตนเอง (β=0.104, p=0.049) และระยะเวลาในการสัมผัสควันบุหรี่มือสอง (β=0.110, p=0.031) มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับพฤติกรรมหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสองในบ้านอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ โดยสามารถร่วมกันทำนายพฤติกรรมหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสอง ได้ร้อยละ 40.00 (R2 =0.400, p<0.001) ข้อเสนอแนะ : หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องควรมีการดำเนินการเพื่อส่งเสริมการรับรู้ความสามารถในการหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสอง และสนับสนุนกิจกรรมที่ส่งเสริมให้เกิดแรงสนับสนุนจากครอบครัว เพื่อเพิ่มการแสดงออกถึงพฤติกรรมการหลีกเลี่ยงควันบุหรี่มือสองในบ้านให้มากขึ้น
