ความชุกและปัจจัยเสี่ยงในการติดเชื้อเอชไอวีและซิฟิลิสในแรงงานข้ามชาติ ในอำเภอตะกั่วป่า จังหวัดพังงา

การศึกษาภาคตัดขวางเพื่อหาความชุกและปัจจัยเสี่ยงในการติดเชื้อเอชไอวีและซิฟิลิสในแรงงานข้ามชาติ อำเภอตะกั่วป่า จังหวัดพังงา จำนวน 16,929 คน ตรวจพบความชุกซิฟิลิส ร้อยละ 0.44 แรงงาน 1,010 คน ถูกสุ่มด้วยความสมัครใจตรวจหาการติดเชื้อเอชไอวี พบความชุกร้อยละ 2.28 ปัจจัยเสี่ยงที่สัมพันธ์สูงกับการติดเชื้อเอชไอวีและซิฟิลิสคือ การที่มีคู่เพศสัมพันธ์ป่วยด้วยโรคติดต่อทางเพศสัมพันธ์ ติดเชื้อเอชไอวี ร้อยละ 18.18 (OR = 22.30, 95% CI: 3.95-25.82, p<0.0004) และติดซิฟิลิส ร้อยละ 4.26 (OR = 18.61, 95% CI: 6.40-54.15, p<0.0001) เมื่อเทียบกับมีเพศสัมพันธ์กับคู่สามีภรรยาที่ไม่ป่วยเป็นโรคติดต่อทางเพศสัมพันธ์ ปัจจัยเสี่ยงที่สัมพันธ์รองมาคือ การใช้สารเสพติด การไม่ใช้ถุงยางอนามัย การมีประวัติป่วยเป็นโรคติดต่อทางเพศสัมพันธ์และการมีคู่นอนหลายคน การรักษาซิฟิลิสและเอชไอวี การรณรงค์ให้ใช้ถุงยางอนามัยและการให้สุขศึกษาเพื่อการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ที่ปลอดภัยเป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็น โดยเฉพาะในแรงงานกลุ่มประมงและก่อสร้าง
